The working dog auction had a catalogue of 19 entries, ranging from well trained dogs to younger started dogs around 6-9 months old. A demonstration of their working ability preceeded the auction, with 32 registered bidders buying to a top price of $2,650 for Lot 4, a 22 month old kelpie showing good style and a calm touch on his stock in the yards and paddock. Other sales at $2000, $1850, $1650 and younger dogs sold between $800 and $300. There were 5 Lots passed in. A big crowd enjoyed both events in warm weather and a friendly atmosphere.
